2004 Holiday Update: The lobby area

These pictures of the lobby area were taken during the one of the worst rainstorms that we ever seen– it was the tail-end of a hurricane that hit the USA quite hard

We learnt the next day that the hotel staff had been preparing to evacuate all guests to the mainland when it started to ease off a little.

This bar area is open all night and you can get pastries and drinks from very early in the morning. Us Brits tend to be awake from around 4am when we first arrive….

The lobby bar gets very lively at night with bands playing and groups playing cards. It’s a great atmosphere!
