I have noticed some pretty negative reports on http://www.holidays-uncovered.co.uk . As they were posted the very same month that we came back I’m really not sure if the posters were on the same planet as we were– let alone the same resort! They would probably say the same of us….. |

From Rachel in July 2006
Hi,
We travelled to sol cayo coco for the first two weeks of June 2006. This resort is just brilliant, we loved every minute of it. The staff are brilliant so friendly, they dont expect a tip but when you do tip them they are so pleased, they earn very little money around £20 per month so a tip goes a long way! We travelled with my daughter who was only 20months old, we were a bit worried about this to start with but it was perfect for her, everyone fussed over her and the staff out there loved her to pieces, she went in the baby club every day and it was excellent! (but if you are taking a little one take plenty of nappies as you cant get them anywhere!) The beaches are amazing although quite a few people got stung by jellyfish the 2nd week we were there. Food is ok, gets a bit samey but this didnt ruin our holiday at all!! There are lots of Mosquitos, so be prepared! We would definatly return to the resort in a few years. Its great for families, the kids and baby club are excellent! The room are basic but kept clean with fresh towels and bottle of water everyday! |

Some of the comments on Holidays Uncovered about Sol Club are pretty negative. If you had a great time, like we did, why not post your own review! I have a few reviews there and always check it out. |

From Gary: Hi Mike,
Have just returned from the Sol Cayo Coco, in the nick of time before the Hurricane hit the island. We all enjoyed the holiday and the hotel. The reports that we read on the internet about the resort were spot on, even down to the beach restaurant chef trying to sell dodgy cigars. The children especially enjoyd the water, feeding the fish from their hands, and also the snorkling which they did most days. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and looked after us very well, even if they were after more tips. Our hotel rooms were inter-connecting, which was excellent and a surprise to us. They were well maintained rooms and the air-conditioning was a god send, as it was the only place you could go to get out of the heat. There was one disappointment to the holiday, which was that we got our video camera stolen from the beach. We think it was stolen by one of the para-gliding men, but we don't really know. The travel insurance does have its uses. As a family, we did say at the end of the holiday that we would like to go back again, if we can afford it. If you want to know anything else about our recent trip please get in contact. Gary Lloyd |
