Now heres one from Carmy and Sal from Montreal, Canada, who had a few criticisms to make in July 2003
We both back last week and it was fun. Except a few complaints which would be that the food needs some improvement not much in variety. The beach needs to be cleaned up a little cigarette butts were all over the place, the seaweed was cleaned up while everyone was on the beach that should be done early in the morning before 9am that's for sure. So we constantly had trucks on the beach doing clean-up. The beach chairs were too few for all the guests staying at their resort, which I found was very unfair when you had outside guests using the beach chairs freely when there weren't enough for the clients staying at the resort. Not many huts they should invest in more chairs & huts. As for children activities there were enough to satisfy my little one. Shows...well let say they got better by the 3rd day. The rooms were very spacious and better than other rooms we've stayed at. Overall I would probably say that, The Sol Caya Coco is probably a 3star. I don't think I would go to that particular resort again unless I heard of lots of improvements made there. 24hr snack bar....DON'T THINK SO....only till 11pm, there were drinks 24hrs but no food we got there at 10 too late for the restaurant and were hungry and happy to know we could have a bite, they were happy enough to make us a pizza's but they closed shop right after.
From Spencer and Karen (from the site Guestbook)
We went to Sol Club last year in October and it was so good we are going again in September, I am counting the days. We have been to St Lucia but this hotel is much better. Our daughter was 16 months old last time and she had a great time the people were brilliant with her and she did not have an upset stomach. My stepsons 14 and 15 at the time were not seen for two weeks, they found the bar and many friends .I would recommend this place to anyone. |

From Claire, July 2006:
Me and my partner went to cayo coco and stayed in the sol cayo coco hotel it was fabulous. we recommend going on the swimming with dolphins excursion what a fantastic experience that was. Would also recommend going horse riding on the beach riding through the sea this was very good. Hotel was very clean with nice pools and the bar staff couldnt do enough for you even bringing us our drinks on the sun loungers now theres service for you!! only one complaint to make that was about the a la carte restaurant avoid this because its not worth it the food was terrible. All in all we had a fantastic time and would love to go back. . |
